"After obtaining a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2001, I decided to further my engineering studies in the fields of engine research and project and financial management by enrolling for a MSc degree at the same institution in 2002.

In January 2003, I joined Spoor & Fisher (patent department) as a candidate attorney where I was involved in patent searching, filing and prosecution. During my stay at Spoor & Fisher, and while studying a LLB degree through UNISA, I completed my MSc degree, as well as my Patent Board examinations through the South African Institute of Intellectual Property.

In February 2007, I joined Sibanda & Zantwijk as an assistant, focusing on the commercialisation, taxation and valuation of intellectual property. I was admitted as a patent attorney in January 2008 and completed my Higher Diploma in Tax Law at the University of the Witwatersrand during the same year.
